v25.3
aSa.Studio v25.3 is scheduled for release in Q3 of 2025
General Enhancements
- Alerts: New Tracking alerts; new Order alert tokens.
Business Partner
- New inquiry lets you see AR status information for a customer.
Detailing Tools
- Detailing Pro Plug-ins - Take off directly from an ADDA or Revit model into your aSa.Studio database. (No import or export needed.)
- You can now run ex and Studio CAD on the same workstation.
Environment / Scheduling / Tracking
- You can now set up a trailer and share it across multiple locations within your organization. This means a trailer can now have one barcode ID tag instead of one for each location where it is used.
- Overload warnings: A new environment option triggers a stop or warning when you build a load that exceeds a set maximum weight or length. The option affects Scheduling > Load Building and on-the-fly loads created with the mobile tracker.
Estimating
- You can now estimate the RA - Rectangular Area function using square feet.
- A new option lets you create the report in portrait mode.
- You can now take off a "parent product." Example: 2,000 Lbs of RB0560 (Rebar Black diameter 5 grade 60 bar).
- The dimension entry grid can now show metric and imperial lengths. Example: Enter 2-06 and 762 (mm) displays next to your entry.
Field Placing
- You can now import placing data. This is helpful, for example, if you are moving from ex Field Placing or a third-party product or spreadsheet.
- Improved support for supplementation placing codes (codes used to track labor time not associated to a placing weight. Example: Training Meeting).
Invoice
- Manage escalations in your billings.
- You can now reverse an invoice.
- You can launch an AR Status Inquiry for the customer associated to an invoice.
Order Entry
- If you use BSI shapes, cut length calculations are now made based on the BSI standard formulas, rather than aSa’s built-in shape calculations (which could sometimes be slightly different).
Processing
- New reports shows lengths and quantities for scrap produced in a run.
- Based on your shop practices, tags for component items (bars or products that will eventually be part of a kit) may be accumulated -- like items from different kits may be produced together -- or separate -- no combining component items from different kits.
- Manage two-step bending: a bar that needs to be processed on two different benders in order to complete the required shape.
- New equipment interfaces for: Eura 20, 25; EVG Polycut 16, 20, RA-XE 20; Schnell Lista Bend.
Product
- Build in a loss factor for your products.
- Improved the mesh definition workflow.
Project Management
- Demand Forecast: You can now create forecasts at any WBS level for a project.
- You can now set up escalation dates and percentages for a job. The values are applied automatically to the job’s pricing as soon as those dates arrive.
- You can now include a pricing template breakdown on the Project Pricing report.
Reports
- Dashboards, reports, and inquiries can now include custom fields.
Tracking
- Added support for trailers that are shared across locations.
- Tracking devices now allow or prevent activity based on a user’s task permissions.
