v26.1
aSa.Studio v26.1 is scheduled for release in Q1 2026
Development plans are subject to change: Anticipated features may be altered or moved to different versions.
General
- Improved support for managing wire products.
- A new tool lets you make bulk edits to a group of business partners or jobs.
- Many aSa.Studio field labels and messages are now available in French.
- Where appropriate, alerts are filtered by location. Example: Users in Location B will most likely not want to receive Alerts if an order is made in Location A.
- Import - Improved alternate product group validations for sub-products.
APIs
- A new API automatically creates products in aSa.Studio based on third-party triggers.
- API documentation now includes information about which fields are required.
General Ledger
- You can now create year-end journal entries.
Invoice
- Final Billing - New tools allow the user to easily adjust the pricing for a project's final lump sum invoice based on the project value, amount shipped to date, and related information.
Order Entry
- A new option allows you to hide pricing on the Sales Order form.
- Added new functionality to Pile Cage Designer; the tool now handles spacers, lifting hoops, and stiffener rings.
- You can now add pricing to detailed line items on the order report for quotes.
Product
- New functionality lets you estimate, price, and invoice kit components individually; you still have the ability to track assembly and loading for the produced kit item.
Product Pricing
- You can now make bulk updates to matrix pricing and price sheets by importing values from an Excel spreadsheet.
Processing
- Vary group tags now include the control code and bar mark.
- A new section on the Master Bundle Check List lists stock bundles. This allows regular master bundles and stock bundles to be checked off at loading or at the jobsite.
- You now have the option to print a Summary tag at the end of a series of Tags Only (non-computer shearing) tags.
- The system now supports wire drawing manufacturing: creating a "new" wire product from stock wire rod. Cold-drawing machines are supported as part of this enhancement.
- A new visual legend lets you see more easily which are bars are stock (non-fabricated) on the Material screen.
Project Pricing
- You can now easily apply a price update to all open sales orders and invoices.
Scheduling
- Load Shipping Method now displays in the Scheduling grid.
- Job ID now displays on Load Calendar cards and in the associated control code grid.
- You can now filter the Load Calendar based on "Today's Date."
- Progress by weight, loaded percentage, and fabricated percentage information now displays on the Daily Progress screen.
- Open a load on the Load tile by simply clicking the Load Number in the Scheduling grid.
- You can now filter the Load calendar by Job and Load.
- An option now lets you display Product or Control Code on Daily Progress screen information tiles.
- The program can now dynamically plan and distribute work across a given shop using factors such as cut times, bend times, capacities, and user preferences. View dynamic plans in Processing and Scheduling modules.
Tracking
- New Continuous Scanning mode: For double scan operations, you can set the system to automatically record a bundle as complete when you scan a tag for the next bundle. This new mode (available as an option) eliminates the “close bundle” scan for timed operations.
- Shipping Containers - The system now allows you to prepare material for placement in a shipping container until a later delivery time.
- Optimized tracking process for building master groups when master group tags are pre-printed.
- You can customize the sequence of Heat Inquiry report sections.
