Community Service
The aSa Scholarship, in memory of Jim Leib and Glenn Joyce, provides funding to worthy undergraduate students on a rotating basis between the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. The scholarship recipients should be pursuing degrees related to Computer Science, Information Science, Industrial Engineering, or Civil Engineering. The scholarship is named for two great men who helped to grow aSa into a world leading software provider in the reinforcing steel industry. Learn More
In addition to being an active member of the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute, aSa has donated resources to projects that benefit the reinforcing steel industry, including web development services for the CRSI Four Pillars Conference and many hours of work on CRSI’s Rebar Detailing Training Course.
aSa also supports a variety of community and charitable organizations through donations and advertisements in events program publications.
