aSa.Studio v27.1 is scheduled for release in Q1/Q2 2027

Development plans are subject to change: Anticipated features may be altered or moved to different versions.

New! Customer Portal

  • Let your customers log into a secure site to view delivery details, invoices, payment history, and more.

General Enhancements

  • Import Wizard Phase II - Import CAD drawing data into Order Entry from a variety of formats: PDF, IFC, and more.
  • Invoice dashboards and inquiries now include custom fields.
  • When documents are automatically attached to email transmittals, you can now preview the documents prior to sending the email.
  • In a dashboard, sort table data by multiple fields. For example, sort scheduling orders by Delivery, then Load, then Stop.
  • You can now set up default freight charges for a business partner or job. The data defaults in when you create orders.
  • Advanced Mesh Functionality - Various improvements for companies that manufacture mesh from wire/rebar and companies that cut and bend mesh to customer specifications. Implemented new Mesh Design tool. Changes affect multiple modules, including Order Entry, Processing, Tracking, and Inventory.

Estimating

  • New estimate statuses, Provisional and Sent to Client, provide clearer insight into the estimate life cycle.
  • You can now specify "Domestic Steel Only" for a project at the estimate level. When the job is awarded, this information flows to downstream applications.
  • Based on an option, you can now paste cut/copied lines above or below a selected position in the Entry grid.

General Ledger

  • Financial report writer to help you view and analyze your general ledger data.

Order Entry

  • Make a bulk change to the unit of measure for multiple items on an order.
  • Import the following into Order Entry:
    • IFC files (a common 3D modeling format)
    • PDF CAD drawings

Processing

  • Track and manage off-site processes, such as cage assembly, galvanization, epoxy coating, and other special situations where activity takes place "outside" your fabrication shop.
  • Improved support for radius bending machines.

Product Pricing

  • Add comments to pricing matrices for Product and Product Class. This is helpful to explain why you created a specified pricing setup.
  • You can now price using quantity breakpoints (i.e., charge less when certain thresholds are met).

Purchase Order

  • Blanket purchase order – Create a “master” purchase order agreement that covers a series of recurring orders over time.

Shipping Ticket

  • If you use the Sign for Delivery app and the recipient signs for an order, you can add GPS information and photos later without changing the original signature time stamp.
  • New collation options are available when you print multiple copies of multiple shipping tickets.
  • Automatically email documentation to specified customer contacts when material is signed off as delivered at the jobsite.

Tracking

  • Plant Manager – See real-time and historical fabrication and shipping data via a graphic representation of your shop.
  • Clarified and improved process for tracking production steps when products contain end preps.
  • Receive material from virtually any supplier by scanning a label or tag. AI reads information on the tag and automatically adds it to your database.
  • Print a report-format version of the Tracking Inquiry. This is helpful, for example, if you need to send material fabrication or shipping details to a customer.
  • Enhancements for planning and tracking lite manufacturing processes.
