Identifiers allow you group and sub-total material for a project. Where WBS levels are hierarchical, identifiers can be applied to any item regardless of its WBS level.

User Defined Code

A special code used to categorize material based on any identifier that serves your needs. Masonry is a common example. 

  • Use the Lookup to select a predefined user defined code. User defined codes are defined in the Environment module. (General > User Defined Codes).

  • Type a new user defined code. You will be prompted to save the code for the job. 
    • Select Yes if you plan to re-use the code on other orders for the current job. 
    • Select No if the code is a one-time entry.

HINT: To view a list of your saved User Defined Codes, or to delete a code, go to Environment > General > User Defined Codes. 

Reason Code

Select a reason material is being supplied. Examples could include: Detailing Error, Shop Error, Extra to Contract, or Part of Contract. Reason codes are defined in the Environment module (General > Order Entry Reason Code).

Placing Code

Select a code to categorize material based on placing characteristics. Examples could include: Beams, Columns, or Slabs. Placing codes are defined in the Environment module (General > Placing Code).
