Build To Order (BTO) kits are products that are fabricated based on specific customer or project requirements. Every time you build a BTO kit, it can have different components. It is essentially a product that you create on the fly.

Overview

  1. Pre-requisite: Create a product class to use for assemblies. This is a one-time setup step.
  2. Define the product. Optionally, use the Components grid to list components contained in the product. These are simply defaults and can be changed or deleted when you build the kit.
  3. In Order Entry, add the BTO product as an element in the Line Entry grid.
  4. Use Order Entry to list the components in the BTO kit.
  5. Add the order to a Processing Run. Processing generates tags for the component items and the BTO kit item.

Use the topics that follow as a guide to defining and managing BTO kits.
