Use load building to plan your shipments. The Load Building utility allows you to assign information such as the carrier, trailer, and the sequence that orders are to be loaded for delivery. Creating a load in Scheduling is the electronic equivalent of filling a specific trailer, set to deliver on a specific day, with material. The basic process is:

  1. Create one or more loads and add material. Define the load's carrier, trailer, and load tag information. Refer to: Creating a Load and Load Building Screen Overview.
  2. Set up the delivery stops for each load. Determine the order that orders will be dropped off at delivery sites. Refer to Working with Delivery Stops.
  3. Prioritize the loads. Determine which trucks are loaded first; set the sequence that loads appear on your reports. Refer to Prioritizing Loads.
  4. Create Delivery Tickets. For each load, generate delivery documentation as described in Printing Shipping Tickets from Load Building.

Note: This documentation covers the process for creating loads using Scheduling's Load Building utility. As an alternative, if you are licensed for aSa Load Tracking, you can also create loads "dynamically" via mobile scanners as you are loading material.
